  1. Big Ben<\/strong> – the\u00a0most famous clock tower, the symbol of London.<\/li>\n
  2. Buckingham Palace <\/strong>–\u00a0the official home of the Queen. The Changing of the Guard takes place outside at 11.30am each day.<\/li>\n
  3. London Eye –\u00a0<\/strong>on a clear day you can see up 25 miles from the top of this 32 capsule giant ferris wheel on the South Bank of the River Thames.<\/li>\n
  4. National Gallery –\u00a0<\/strong>founded in 1824, it houses a collection of over 2,300 paintings dating from the mid-13th century to 1900.<\/li>\n
  5. St. Paul’s Cathedral<\/strong> –\u00a0once the tallest structure in London at 365ft high, St Paul\u2019s is the Church of England cathedral.<\/li>\n
  6. Tower of London<\/strong> –\u00a0one of London\u2019s World Heritage Sites, visitors can see the Crown Jewels and famous ravens.<\/li>\n
  7. Stonehenge –\u00a0<\/strong>believed to be 5,000 years old and listed as a World Heritage Site, many druids celebrate the summer solstice there.<\/li>\n
  8. Palace of Westminster –\u00a0<\/strong>here you\u2019ll find the House of Lords and House of Commons.<\/li>\n
  9. British Museum –\u00a0<\/strong>located in the Bloomsbury area of London, it’s a public institution dedicated to human history, art and culture.<\/li>\n
  10. Royal Albert Hall –<\/strong>\u00a0it’s a concert hall on the northern edge of South Kensington, London, which has held the Proms concerts annually each summer since 1941.<\/li>\n
  11. Covent Garden –\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0London\u2019s main theatre and entertainment area. Tourists fill its elegant, car-free Piazza, home to fashion stores, crafts at the Apple Market and the Royal Opera House.<\/li>\n
  12. Windsor Castle –\u00a0<\/strong>home for the Queen but visitors can see Queen Mary\u2019s Doll\u2019s House and the State Apartments.<\/li>\n
  13. Globe Theatre –\u00a0<\/strong>opened in 1997,it’s a replica of the open-air theatre originally designed in 1599 by William Shakespeare\u2019s playing company.<\/li>\n
  14. National Museum of Scotland –\u00a0<\/strong>stores the collections relating to Scottish antiquities, culture and history, and collections covering science and technology, natural history, and world cultures.<\/li>\n
  15. Trafalgar Square – <\/strong>tourists\u00a0admire its wonderful fountains and architecture, and join in the several special events happening every year around this London landmark.<\/li>\n
  16. Churchill War Rooms –\u00a0<\/strong>here you’ll discover the life and legacy of Winston\u00a0Churchill\u00a0in the bunker and museum hidden beneath the streets of Westminster where he ran WW2.<\/li>\n
  17. Arthur’s Seat –<\/strong>\u00a0the main peak of the group of hills in Edinburgh, Scotland which form most of Holyrood Park, described by Robert Louis Stevenson as “a hill for magnitude, a mountain in virtue of its bold design”.<\/li>\n
  18. Ben Nevis –<\/strong>\u00a0standing at 4,409 ft, near Fort William in the Scottish Highlands, this is the UK\u2019s highest mountain.<\/li>\n
  19. Brighton Pier\u00a0<\/strong>–\u00a0one of the most famous coastal landmarks, it was almost destroyed by a storm in 1896.<\/li>\n
  20. Dartmoor –\u00a0<\/strong>this area of moorland has National Park status and is habitat for a range of wildlife, including the famous Dartmoor ponies.<\/li>\n
  21. Kew Gardens –\u00a0<\/strong>in the 19th Century tropical orchids were popular and thousands still flock to explore the 300 acres of gardens, greenhouses and a treetop walk.<\/li>\n
  22. Loch Ness –\u00a0<\/strong>visitors flock to this freshwater loch in the Scottish Highlands hoping to see the monster.<\/li>\n
  23. The Needles –\u00a0<\/strong>three stacks of chalk rise out of the sea off the Isle of Wight.<\/li>\n
  24. Kensington Palace –\u00a0<\/strong>a royal residence set in Kensington Gardens, in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea in London, England.<\/li>\n
  25. Royal Observatory –<\/strong> visit the Royal Observatory Greenwich to stand on the historic Prime Meridian of the World, see the home of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), and experience London’s only planetarium.<\/li>\n
  26. London Zoo –\u00a0<\/strong>it’s the world’s oldest scientific zoo. It was opened in London on 27 April 1828, and was originally intended to be used as a collection for scientific study.<\/li>\n
  27. Tower Bridge –<\/strong>\u00a0it’s one of London’s famous bridges and one of many must-see landmarks in London with a glass floor and modern exhibitions it is a must visit.<\/li>\n
  28. River Thames –\u00a0<\/strong>a river that flows through southern England, most notably through London. At 215 miles, it is the longest river entirely in England.<\/li>\n
  29. Roman Baths –\u00a0<\/strong>visitors today can also bathe in the natural thermal waters discovered more than 2,000 years ago.<\/li>\n
  30. Land’s End –\u00a0<\/strong>the starting point for the Olympic Torch\u2019s relay around the UK, it\u2019s the most westerly point of mainland England.<\/li>\n
  31. Snowdonia <\/strong>–\u00a0Snowdon is the tallest peak in the national park and stands at 1,085m above sea level.<\/li>\n
  32. Natural History Museum –\u00a0<\/strong>it\u2019s full of weird and wonderful exhibits, including a huge diplodocus dinosaur skeleton.<\/li>\n
  33. Giant’s Causeway –\u00a0<\/strong>the only World Heritage Site in Northern Ireland, it was formed by a volcanic eruption 60 million years ago and is steeped in myth and legend which says it was carved by the might giant Finn McCool.<\/li>\n
  34. Regent’s Park – <\/strong>being\u00a0one of the Royal Parks of London, it\u00a0<\/strong>combines large open spaces with tree-lined pathways, formal gardens, and four children’s playgrounds.<\/li>\n
  35. St Michael’s Mount –\u00a0<\/strong>known as the jewel in Cornwall\u2019s crown, it is believed to be where the Greeks traded for Cornish tin.<\/li>\n
  36. Sherlock Holmes Museum <\/strong>–\u00a0it’s a privately run museum in London, England, dedicated to the famous fictional detective Sherlock Holmes.<\/li>\n
  37. The Shard <\/strong>–\u00a0it’s home to some of the best offices, restaurants and hotel rooms in London – along with breathtaking views.<\/li>\n
  38. Sherwood Forest –<\/strong>\u00a0famous home of legendary Robin Hood and the Major Oak, 500,000 people regularly visit it.<\/li>\n
  39. Edinburgh Castle –\u00a0<\/strong>it’s built on a 700 million-year-old extinct volcano called Castle Rock and has been used as a Royal residence through the ages.<\/li>\n
